National statistics on cancer prevalence
The prevalence of a particular cancer can be defined as the number of persons in a defined population who have been diagnosed with that type of cancer, and who are still alive at the point of examination. The prevalence is an important and useful measure of the burden of cancer in the community. Statistics are based on diagnosis years 2000 to 2018.
