The national cancer statistics of the Federal Statistical Office (FSO) are published in the form of annual cancer monitoring and the cancer report published every five years. The results include the most important epidemiological indicators such as incidence, mortality, survival rates and prevalence by each cancer location and show national cancer events. The Federal Statistical Office is responsible for the implementation of national statistics.

In addition, the key figures on cancer incidence and cancer prevalence are presented as part of the Swiss Monitoring System of Addiction and Non-communicable Diseases (MonAM).
